COURSE MARSHAL INFO

Great races are the product of good people!

We appreciate everyone that comes out to help keep racers safe on track.

SOLITUDE VOLUNTEER COURSE MARSHALS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:

  • Lunch onsite

  • Pro Downhill Series shirt

  • Discount Codes from our amazing partners

  • The best seat in the house and a giant thank you from all the racers!

PLEASE TRY TO BE ON TIME AND MEET AT THE COURSE MARSHAL CHECK-IN NEAR ATHLETE RESGISTRATION.

HERE ARE SOME PRO TIPS:

  • We recommend that everyone double check the weather forecast and dress for being outside. Umbrellas are never a bad idea

  • Feel free to bring snacks, extra drinks, etc. (no alcohol please)

  • Wear good shoes - this one is critical! You will be on rough, uneven mountain terrain

  • Camp chairs are allowed - so please bring yourself a seat if you'd like

  • If under 18, must be approved with parent to sign waiver

  • Make sure to check your email regularly leading up to the event. We may need to communicate schedule changes.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

The Course Marshal's primary responsibility is to be the eyes and ears of the downhill track - keeping racers safe by reporting injuries to our medical team and assisting with track closures. Course Marshals are NOT expected to perform any medical assistance. We will have a brief orientation when you arrive and our event staff will be working with you throughout the day, answering any questions and offering full assistance as needed.

Please reach out with any questions.

Thank you for supporting US Downhill Racing! #USDH
